Machin, Commander, will be despatched- from Wellington, for Panama direct, on MONDAY, Bth proximo, with Her Majesty's mails from Australia and New Zealand. The Company's branch steamer Otago will leave Hokitika on the 3rd proximo, conveying mails .and passengers to the Kaikoura, at Wellington. Passengers can book at a through rate' from Hokitika to Panama and Southampton. From the Isthmus of Panama firstclass steamers \ voceed at frequent intervals to New York, California, and the' vax'ious ports of South America.
