THE DOBSON MEMORIAL.
(to the kditoh of the west coast times.)
Sir, — May I ask what has become of this movement, set on foot in tho tirst instance with so much appareat zeal by members of the Civil Service, who had been, the friends associates of the late unfortnnato /gentleTnan — and so promptly responded to by the public of Hokitika ? Is anything to bo'donq further about the matter ; or are the subscriptions already paid to bo returned ? > I am, &c.,
A'Stra3CßtßElt. '
[We cannot answer our correspondent's question. We believe that no meeting of the committee has lately been convened. , Wherever the fault may lie, we fear that the movement, will have to be addod to the already long list of ' flashes in the pan.'— Ed. W.C.T.]
