Foo-Chow tea market opened briskly. Settlements, one hundred and thirty thousand chests. Prices ; Foo-Chow, 6, and Haukow 10 to 15 taels over lust year. Japanese Government issued a proclamation that permits will be granted to travellers in Japan. 30th—Reported that a body of Mahomedan rebels captured and burned Ransah. Ginivevc, first Hankou tea ship, wrecked, and several others injured by collisions. Three native banks failed iv Foo-Chow. India.— Outbreak of cholera at Rurnool, Slearns, Hobart, and Co., Bombay, failed. Fearful storms, Western Bengal.— Large native failures, Bombay. Oriental Bank shares 60 premium ; Mercantile, 35 premium ; no sellers.
