Breach op Policb Ordinance.— George Turner and Hugh Craig, appeared to answer the complaint of the police, charging them with being the owners of two unregistered dogs. It appeared that the dogs had been registered, but that the collars had been removed from the dogs' necks. The magistrate dismissed the charge, and advised the defendants to ob- [ tarn ne>v collars, as their dogs were liable to be shot. ! Assault.— Francis M'Guigan was charged by Jacob Moses with assaulting him on : the morning of the 17th inst. Mr Rees appeared for the defendant. The complainant failing to appear, the information was dismissed. Committing a Breach of the Peacm Clara Dumbevin, Kate Dumbevin, Jessie trumore, and Mrs Hall were- charged with committing a breach of th,e peace on the T6th infant; by fighting in Beach street. .Jessie Gilmore came into Court drunk and was ordered to be locked up for twen-ty-four hours. Mrs Hall was discharged as it was proved that she had taken no part m the "mill." The other two detendants, Kate and Clara Dumbevin, were hned L 2, or in default, four days' imprisonment, with hard labor. The fine was paid.
