West Coast Times. FRIDAY, JULY 20, 1866.

Up to tx late hour last evening wo were, in hopes of publishing, this morning, the news brought by the English May mail s Avhich had arrived at the Bluff. Telegraphic communication, which had been wholly suspended for some days past, was yesterday sufficiently restored to enable this fact to be communicated ; but it was found impracticable further to work the wire, and we had the mortification .of knowing that our agent's message was waiting the opportunity of transmission. We have £to thank the officers of the telegraph department for keeping tlie offices open much beyond the usual hour. It is to be hoped the news will reach us iv the course of the morning.
