THE WESTLAND DISTRICT ELECTION.
No polling returns are to hand with the exception of those for the town of Hokitika, where there are very few qualified electors for the Goldfields. The votes recorded at the Warden's Court yesterday were— for Barn 1 , 12 ; Cassius, 2 ; Hoos, 0. Tbe principal returns will no doubt be received in the course of to-day.
