RnauLATioNS foiv thr ouidanoe op Intending Exhibitors. t An exhibition of tho products, manufactures, and arts of Now South Wales, South Australia, Queensland, Woslcfn Australia, Tasmania, Now Zealand, and Victoria, will bo held in Melbourne in 1800. Tho Exhibition will open not earlier than the month of August, nnd will remain open for not less than two months. Tho 'Commissioners will bo prepared to recoive articlos intended for exhibition from tho Ist to Iho 21st of July inclusive. In order to givo tho Commissioners the opportunity of making adequato ariangcmonts, forms of application for spaco should be sent in without delay, and in no caso will applications bo received later than the 17th Juno, 1800. Intending exhibitors aro requested to givo a full description of their goods on tho form on tho other side and particularly to describe all points of novelty or originality in the objects exhibited. Exhibitois must stato whother thoy arc the designers, inventors, manufacturers, or producers of tho articles thoy propose to exhibit. Tho Commissioners i-escrvo to themselves the right to receivo for exhibit ion only, and not for competition (if spaco ndmit), any object not tho produce of tho abovo-nienlioncd Colonies, which may bo considered to possess especial merit. The Commissioners doolino to receive any articlo thoy may think unsuitablo to tho Exhibition, or objects of an inllamniatory, offensive, perishable, owlangorous charactor. Counters ,aml wall space will bo provided. All goods and articles for exhibition must bo delivered at tho building at tho'ohargo and risk of tho exhibitor. ~ Articles and packages will bo unloadod at tho building. Should tho oxhibitors or their agents not bo present, tho packages ill , pcncd'by the olliccrs of tho Exhibition, and tho contents distributed with caro, ,Imb tho risk of tho ox« hibilor. \ Tickets will ' issued to ovory exhibitor, his agent, or sorvant, to enable him to pass into the building between certain hours to arrange Iho articles for oxhibition. Thcso tickots must bo produced on entrance, nnd givon up when required. Exhibitors may employ assistants to koop in order Iho articles thoy exhibit, or to explain them to visitors, aftor obtaining written permission from Iho Commissioners to that effect.
Freo admission, within limits to be ( fixed by the Commissioners, will ho given to visitor or thoir ngonts. Effoo,tual means will bo taken, through tho agency of tho police ai)d otherwise, to guard ngainst firo nnd protect tho property in Iho exhibition ; but tho Commissioners will not be rcspQiisiblo for losses by fire, robbory, nccident, or tlamago of any kind. MedAls or certificates of merit will bo awarded in the different classes. Trices may bo aflixed to tho articles exhibited. Articlos of groat sizo and weight, tho placing of which will require considerable labor, must be sent on or beforo tho 14th of Junq ; and persona wishing to exhibit machinoiy or other objects that will require foundations, must make a declaration to that effect their application for spaco. Any exhibitor whoso goods can properly bo placed together will bo at liberty to arrange such goodu in his own way, provided his arrangements aro compatiblo with the genoral scheme of the exhibition, and tho convenience of other oxhibitors.
