[advehtisement.] (TO THE EDITOD OP THE WEST COAST TIMES.) C<IR, — We, tho undersigned passengers on board the 'VAlbion" steamer, on her last trip from Melbourno to this port, feol we would bo wanting in our duty to our fellow townsmen if wo did not expose tho treatmont shown to the femalo passengers and children by tho master of that vessel. No food, suitable for children, of which there were many, was to be had on board ; and whilst lying ofl Hokitika this morning, at 10 o'clock, the muster insisted upon all the stocrage passengers, including, the females and children, quitting tho sliip, and going on board the tug steamer "Challenge," although he well knew that tho " Challenge' 1 could not enter tho river for six hours afterwards. It would seem that this movement was solely to get rid of tho responsibility of provisioning tho passenfers in the meanwhile. Wo regret to avo to make these comments respecting such an oxcollent ship as tho "Albion;" but wo do so in tho liopo' that tho owners, for the sake of thoir own characters and prospects, will prevent a recurrence of such troatmont to thoso who patroniso their ships. Michael Molony, JonN GILBENAN. William Motnihan. Richabd Cannon. Hokitika, Juno 8, 1866. 2945 ABSTBACT OP SALES BY AUCTION.
