Regulations for the guidance off Intending Exhibitors.
An exhibition of the products, manufactures, and arts' of New South Wales, !-outh Australia, Queensland, Western Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand) and Vioiorla, will bo held in Melbourne in 18C0. The Exhibition will open not earlier than tho month of August, and will roiuain open for not less' than two months. The Commissioners will bo prtparcd to receive articles intended for oxhibition from tho Ist to Iho 2lßt. of July inclusive. In order to givo tho Commissioners tho opportunity of making adequato arrangements, forms of application for space should be sent in without delay, and in no case will applications bo received later than the 17th Juno, 1806. Intending exhibitors aro requost°d to givo a full description of their goods on tho form on tho other side, and particularly to describo all points of novelty or originality in tho objects exhibited. Exhibitors must stats whether thoy aro tho designers, inventors, manufacturers, or producers of the articles thoy proposo to oxhibit. Tho Commissioners reserve -to themselves tho right to receive for exhibiiion only, and not for competition (if space admit), any object not tho pioducoof tho above-mentioned Colonies, which may he considered to posses* especial merit. The Commissioners deolino to receivo any nrticlo they may think unsuitable to tho Exhibition, or objects of 'an inllammatory, offensive, perishable, or dangerous character. Counters and wall space will be providod. All goods and articles for exhibition must be delivered at tho building at tho charge and risk of tho exhibitor. % I Articles and packages will ho unloaded at tho building. t Should the exhibitors or their agents not ho present, tho packages , ill pencd by the otticers of tho Exhibition,' and tho contents distributed with caro, but at tho risk of tho exhibitor. Tickets will ho issued to every oxhibitor, his agent, or servant, to onable him to pass into the building botween cortain hours to arrange tho articles for oxhibition. Theso tickets must ho produced on entrance, and given up when required. Exhibitors may employ assistants to keep in order tho articles they oxhibit, or to explain them to visitors, aftor obtaining written permission from tho Commissioners to that olFeot. Freo admission, within limits to be'fixod by the Commissioners, will )>o given to visitor or their agents. Efteoiual moans will bo taken, through tho agency of tho police and otherwise, to guard against firo and protect tho property in tho exhibition ; but "tho Commissioners will not be responsible for lossds by fire, robbory, acoidont, or damage of any kind. ■ Mcdila or certificates of morit will bo awarded in tho different classes Prices may bo affixed to the articles exhibited. Articles of great sizo and weight, tho placing of which will require cousidorablo labor, must bo sent on or before tho 14th of Juno ; and penons wishing to exhibit machinery or other objeots that will require foundations, must make a declaration to that effect in their application for space. Any oxhibitor whoso goods can proporly bo placed together will be atllbeity to arrange such goods in hrs own way, provided his. arrangemonts aro^compatiblo with tho general scheme of tho exhibition, and tho convenienco of other exhibitors. ■* , Exhibitors may not romovo their J oods or substitute others for thorn during tbefl oriod tho exhibition shall remain open withou vefrom the Commissioners.
