THE MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF HOKITIKA.
§ The following appears in the «• Provincial Government Gazette" :—
Proclamation. ' Whereas, in accordance, with Clause 3 of the 'Municipal Council Ordinance, Session XIV, No. 2,' a petition from the residents" nnd householders in Ilokitikn, praying for the proclamation of the Town of Ilokitika as a Municipal Distriot, was published in tho ' Provincial Government Gazette' of the 30th April, 1866, No. 36 a, and no counter petition has been received since tho date of such publication • Now therefore, I, Samuel Bealey, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in -pursuance of the powers vested in me in that bohalf, do herebj^with the advico and consent of the ExAve Council of tho said Provmco, decMßp Town of Hokitika to bo a MUn^pntfstrict under tho said Ordinance and 'Tho Municipal (jouneil W»i}n.9» Anwo,rops Ordinal, mo,"'
