Regulations Fon the guidance op Intending ' Exhibitors. An exhibition of tho products, manufactures, and arts of New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland, Western Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, and Victoria, will be held in Melbourne in 1866. The Exhibition will open not earlier than tho month of August, nnd will remain open for not less than two months. ( The Commissioners will bo prtwed to receive articles intended for exhibition from tho Ist to iho 2lßt of July inclusive. In order to give tho Commissioners the opportunity of making adequate arrangements, forms of application for space should be sent in without, delay, and in no caso will applications be received later than tho 17th Juno, 1866. Intending exhibitors aro requests to give a full description of their goods on tho form on .the othor eido au<* particularly to desoribo all points of novelty or originality in tho objects exhibited. Exhibitors must state whethor they are tho designers, invontors, manufacturers, or producers of the articles they propose to oxhibit, Tho Commissioners reserve to themselves tho right to receivo for exhibi ion only, and not for competition (if spaco admit), any object not the produco of the above-mentioned Colonies, which may be considered to possess especial merit. The Commissioners decline to receivo any article they may think unsuitable to tho Exhibition, or objects of an inflammatory, offensive, perishable, ordangerous character. Counters and wall space will be provided. All goods and articles for exhibition must be delivered at tho building at the charge and risk of the exhibitor. Ai tides and packages will be unloaded at the building. Should the exhibitors or their ngents not be j present, the packages ill pened by the oflicers of the Exhibition, and tho contents distributed with caro, but at ihe risk of the exhibitor. I Tickets will be issued to overy exhibitor, his agent, or servant, to enablo him to pass into the building between certain hours to arrange tho articles for exhibition These tickets must bo produced on entrance, and given up when rej quired. " Exhibitors may employ assistants to keep in order tho articles they oxhibit, or to explain them to visitors, after obtaining written permission from the Commissioners to that effect. Free admission, within limits to be fixed by the Commissioners, will be given to visitor or their agents. Effecuml means will be takon, through the agency of tho police . and otherwise, to guard against fire and protect tho property in Ihe exhibition ; but the Commissioners will not be responsible for losses by fire, robbery, accident, or damage of any kind. Med»ls or certificates of merit will be awarded in the different classes Prices may be affixed to the articles exhibited. Articles of great size nnd weight, the placing of which will requiro considerable labor, must be sent on or beforo the 14th of Juno; and persons wishing to exhibit machinery or other objects that will require foundations, must mako a declaration to that effect in their application for spaco.
