The p.s. Bruce arrived in the offing last evening at 6 p.m. from Okarita, having made a remarkably quick voyage this time, only leaving here lost Saturday evening at 5 p.m., with a large quantity of cargo on board to discharge at Okarittv. We porceivo by our advertising columns, she will bo despatched again on Wednesday for Okarita. In our report yesterday of tho passage of the schooner Florence from Melbourno, that vessel was said to have sighted the Solamlor. It should havo been, that from westerly and , easterly winds, sho was driven to tho southward during a strong gale. The s.B. South Australian left Hobson'a Bay at three p.m. on Saturday, 12th instant, and after a fine run of something under five days arrived at Bluff Harbor, ivliicb. port sho again loft some day, 17 th instant, and arrived at Port Chalmers 6 a.m. 18th inst. After discharging cargo and passengers, left tho latter port 22nd inst., calling at Lyttleton 23rd, Wellington 24th, leaving there 25th, arriving at Nelson 26th, at which port sho remained till the morning of tho 27th, and arrived off Hokitika yesterday at 4.30 a.m. Tho Challenge tug steamer conveyed her passengers ashore, and the Lioness was also called into requisition to land sheep and a small quantity of cargo. The South Australian leaves again tliis morning for Melbourno direct at 9 a.m.
