pp I .. ' Signature of Exhibitor, Address, To the Secretary of the Intercolonial Exhibition, 64, Elizabeth street, Melbourne. Regulations for the guidance of Intending Exhibitors. An exhibition of the products, manufactures, and arts of Now South Wales, South Australia, Queensland, Western Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, and Victoria, will be held in Melbourne in 11866. The Exhibition will open not earlier than tho month of August, and will remain open for not less than two months. Tho Commissioners will bo prtpared to receive articles iutended for exhibition from the Ist to the 21st of July inclusive. In order to give the Commissioner** the opportunity of making adequate arrangements, forms of application for space should be sent in without delay, and in no case will applications be-received later than the 17th June, 1866. * Intending exhibitors are requested to give a full description of their goods on the form on the other side, and particularly to describe all points of novelty or originality in the objeots exhibited. Exhibitors must state whether they are the designers, inventors, manufacturers, or producers of the articles they propose to exhibit. The Commissioners reserve to themselves the right to receive for exhibition only, and not for competition (if space admit), any object not the produce of the above-mentioned Colonies, which may be considered to possess especial merit. The Commissioners decline to receive any article they may think unsuitable to the Exhibition, or. objects of an inflammatory, offensive, perishable, or dangerous character. Counters and wall space will bo provided. All goods and articles for exhibition must be delivered at tho building at the charge and risk of the exhibitor . Articles and packages will bo unloaded at the building. Should the exhibitors or their agents not be present, the packages ill pened by the officers of the Exhibition, and tho contents distributed with care, but at tho risk of tho exhibitor. Tickets will be issued to every exhibitor, his agent, or servant, to enable him to pass into the building between certain hours to arrange tho articles for exhibition. These tickets must bo produced on entrance, and given up when required. Exhibitors may employ assistants to keep in order the articles they exhibit, or to explain them to visitors, afte^ obtaining written permission from tho Commissioners to that effect. Free admission, within limits to be fixed by the Commissioners, will bo given to visitor or their agents. Effectual means will be taken, through the agency of tho police nnd otherwise, to guard against fire and protect the property in the exhibition ; but the Commissioners will not be responsible for losses by fire, robbery, accident, or 'damage of any kind. Medils or certificates of merit will be awarded in the different classes Prices may be aflixed to tho articles exhibited. Articles of great size and weight, the placing of which will require considerable labor, must bo. sent on or beforo tho 14th of June; and persons wishing to exhibit machinery or other objects that will rcquiro foundations, must make a declaration to that effect in their application for space. Any exhibitor whose goods can properly bo placed together will be at liberty to arrange such goods in his own way, provided his arrangements are compatible with the general scheme of the exhibition, and the convenience of other exhibitors. Exhibitors may not remove their goods or substitute others {or them during the period tho exhibition shall remain open withou cave from th« Commissioned. " l
