Pit Signature of Exhibitor, Address, To the Secretary of tho Intercolonial Exhibition, 64, Elizabeth street, Melbourne. REaOIiATIONS FOR THE aUIDANOE OP INTENDING EXHIBITORS. An exhibition of the products, manufactures, and arts of New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland, Western Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, and Victoria, will be held in Melbourne in 1866. The Exhibition will open not earlier than the month of August, and will remain open for not less than two months. 'The Commissioners will be prepared to receive articles intended for exhibition from the Ist to the 21st of July inclusive. In order to give the Commissioners the opportunity of making adequate arrangements, forms of application for space should be sent in without delay, and in no case will applications be received later than the 17th June, 1866. 1 Intending exhibitors are requested to give a full description of their goods on the form on the other side, and particularly to describe all points of novelty or originality in the objects exhibited. ; Exhibitors must state whether they aro the designers, inventors, manufacturers, or producers of the artioles they proposo to exhibit. The Commissioners reserve to themselves tho right to receive for exhibition only, and not for competition (if space admit), any object not the produce of tho above-mentioned Colonies, whioh may be considered to possess especial merit. ; The Commissioners deoliiie to receive any article they may think unsuitable to the Exhibition, or objects of an inflammatory, offensive, perishable, or dangerous character. (Counters and wall space will bo provided. All goods and articles for exhibition must be delivered at the building at the charge and risk of the exhibitor. i Articles and paokages will be unloaded at the building. I Should the exhibitors or their agents not be present, the paokages ill pened by tho officers of the Exhibition, and tho contents distributed with care, but at the risk of the exhibitor. ! Tickets will bo issued to every exhibitor, his agent, or servant, to enable him to pass into the building between certain hours to arrange tho artioles for exhibition. These tickets must be produced on entrance, and givon up when required. Exhibitors may employ assistants to keep in order tho articles they exhibit, or to explain them to visitors, after obtaining written permission from the Commissioners to -that effeot. 1 Free admission, within limits to be fixed by the Commissioners, will be given to visitor or tpeir agents. I Effectual means will be taken, through tho agency of the police and othorwise, to guard against fire and protect the property in the exhibition ; but the Commissioners will not be responsible for losses by fire, robbery, accident, or damage of any kind. ' Medals or certificates of merit will bo awarded in the different classes, i Prices may be affixed to the articles exhibited. Articles of great size and weight, tho placing of which will require considerable labor, must h|s sent on or before the 14th of June ; and persons wishing to exhibit machinery or other objects that will require foundations, must make a ( declaration to that effeot in their application for space. j Any exhibitor whose goods can properly be placed together will be at liberty to arrange si ich goods in his own way, provided his arrangen ents are compatible with tho general scheme of tiie exhibition, and tho convenience of other c: chibitors.
