OUR GOLD EXPORT.

We have explained olsewhoro tho difficulty experienced m arriving at any

near approximation even, to the total quantity of gold exported from the West Coast, owing to the absence of any official returns from the Grey, at which port tho Custom House establishment is entirely distinct from that at Hokitika. From this port alone the quantity cleared at tho Custom House, from the 12th March to tho 11th April 38,396 ozs., and the quantity to be was cleared to-day, for shipment by the Gothenburg, is 15,000 ozs., making a total of 53,396 ozs. In addition to the 15,000 ozs. taken by the Gothenburg from Hokitika, she carries 7000 from tho Grey, making her total complement 22,000 ozs.
