QUEENSLAND.
(prom the pout denison times). The BiiAoks. — Prompt retribution I has fallen on the murderers of the two unfortunate men who were massacred near Inkermann. Wo are informed that on tho Ist instant, the clay after receiving the information, Lieutenant Mario w started out with Mr Iceley and seven troopers, and arrived at the scene of the murder on the 3rd. Thoy found a great stono with brains still on it, which had, no doubt, been the instrument used for beating in the heads of •the victims. Tho graves whoro tho bodies were buried by , Mr Stenhouse wero also close at hand. On tho morning of the 4th, the party took up tho tracks, and at tho first camp of blacks found a' sock aud a card ; at tho next camp a card was also found, and from that to the sixth camp cards and fragments of clothing, which were indubitablo indications of their being on the right track. At the sixth camp they camo up with the mob, mustering about 100, without counting gins, and speedily dispersed them in all directions. One blackfollow had on a cabbage- tree hat and a pair of socks. Both hats belonging to tho murdered travellers were recovered. It would appear that the party of blacks came over tho dividing range between the Bogie and tho Bur dokin Rivers, aud that tho unfortunate mon must havo walked right into the middlo of tho mob without being awaro of it. The tracks from tho spot whoro tho crime was committed to the camp where the mob was found, led the native police party over a distance- of fifty niilos, although this Inst camp was only about six niilos distant from tho starting point.
