An exhibition of the products, manufactures, and arts of Now South Wales, fcouth Australia, Queensland, Western Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, and Victoria, will be held in Melbourne in 1800. Tho Exhibition will open not earlier than tho month of August, and will remain open for not less than two months. Tho Commissioners will ho prt>:mred to receive ailfoles intended for exhibition from tho Ist to the 21st. of July inclusive. In order to give tlio Commissioners the opportunity of making adoquato arrangements, forms of application for' spaco should be sent in without dolay, and in no oaso will applications bo reoeived later than the 17th Juno, 180(5. Intending exhibitors aro requested to give a full description of thoir goods on tho form on the other side am l particularly to dosoribe nil points of novelty or originality in the objocts exhibited. Exhibitors must state whether they arc the designers, inventors, manufacturers, or producora of the artioles they proposo to exhibit. Tho Commissioners reserve to themselves the right to receive for exhibi'ion only, and not for competition (if space admit), any object not the piodnceof the above-mentioned Colonies, which may bo considered to posses cspooiul merit. The Commissioners decline to receive any arlk!c they may think unsuitable to tl.o Exhibition, or objects of an inllnminatory, offensive, perishable, or dangerous olinractcr. Counters and wall space will be provided. All goods and articles for exhibition must bo delivered at tl.o building at the charge and risk of tho exhibitor. Articles and packages will be unloaded at the building. Should the exhibitors or their agents not be present, tho packages will be opened by the officers of tho Exhibition, and tho contents distributed with care, but at the risk of the ex- { hibitor ' Tickets will be issued to every exhibitor, his agent, or servant, to enable him to pass into the building between certain hours to arrange tho articles for 6xhibition These tiokots must be produced on entrauce, and given up when required. Exhibitors may employ assistants to koep in order the articles they oxhibit, or to explain them to visitors, after obtaining written permission from the Commissioners to that effect. Free admission, within limits to be fixed by the Commissioners, will bo given to visitors or thoir agents. Efteoliml means will be taken, through tho agoncy of lho polios aud otherwise, to guard against lire and protect the property in the exhibition ; but tho Commissioners will not be responsible for losses by fire, robbery, accident, or damago of any kind. Medals or certificates of merit will bo awarded in Ihe difTorout classes Prices may bo i.Hixed to the articles oxhibitod. Articles of great size and weight, lho placing of which will requiro considerable labor, must be sent on or before tho 1-lth of June ; and persons wishing to oxhibit machine, yor other objects that will requiro foundations, must make | a declaration to that effect in their application ! for space.
