Several parties residing at a distance from Hokitika, having forwarded adver.'isomonts to this olh'co without enclosing payment for tho same, we bog to inform the public that in no case will an advertisement be inserted unless prepaid, except tho advertiser has already nn aeco'unt with us, or, that the order is sufficiently largo to justify us in booking the same. Tho annoyance and loss consequent on tho collection of small amounts, especially from parties at a distance, < have compelled ns to adopt this course, which will in future be strictly adhered to.
