This rule is imperative, and will in no ins'auce he departed from. Complying with this condition Correspondents may append any signature they please to their letters for publication. Except under special circumstances rejected communications cannot be returned. It will be understood that letters forwarded to the Editor are to be addressed to this journal only. Any violation of this understanding will be a breach of faith.
