Several parties residing ac a distance from Hokitika, having forwarded advei"iscmont« to this office without enclosing; payment for the same, we beg to inform the public Unit in no case will an advertisement bn inserted unless prepaid, except the advertiser has already an account with us, or that the order is sulliciently largo to justify us in booking the same. The annoyance and loss consequent on tho collection of small nmonnts, especially from parlies at n distance, have compelled us to adopt this sourse, which will in future bo strictly adhered to.
