The Ilobart Town Mercury of tho Gth instant has the following: —
" The arrival of tho Dcrwent on Friday morning, from Melbourne, with later intercolonial advices and a cargo composed principally of wheat and flour, materially affected tho breadstufTs market, and on used a decline of fully LI per ton on flour, and Is per bushel on wheat. The wheat, of whichf about 4000 bushels woro imported, was Californian, Chilian, and Adelaido, find the flour, of which thero was about fivo tona, was Chilian and Lanneoston, the lattor, in coiiso.iuenco of there boing no vessel on the berth, having had to bo first sent to Molbourno, and then re-shipped hero. Somo of the Chilian flour is only of middling quality, while none of it h equal to tho town-made, for which L 26 and N L27 wns ttio prico at tho mills to-day. The Chilian was offered afc L 25 ami L2fl, but wo believe no salo could bo offected at theso prices. A portion of the imported wheat was cleared at lls, boing a decline of Is upon yesterday's lates.
