THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
A now scalo of feos to bo taken for prococdings in Residont Magistrates' Courts has boon fixed, and is to bo in force from the Ist February noxt. An ordor in Council prohibits tho importation iuto Now Zealand, from any part of tho United Kingdom, or of Europo, of cattlo, shoop, horses, goats, pigs, or poultry, and of hides, horns, hoofs, and of all othor parts of such animals, in ordor to prevent infootion or contagion. An ordor in Council proclaims the beach at Hokitika four hundred yards on tho western sido of tho Custom Houso, and one hundred yards on tho castorn side, making a total of fivo hundred yards, Iho legal lauding placo at tho Port of Hokilika, under tho Customs Regulation Act. Tho proclamation takes offocb from date, viz., tho 2nd January.
