Several parties residing at a distanco from Hokitika, bavins 'forwarded advertisements to this oliice without enclosing paymontfor the same, we beg to inform the publio that in no caso will an advertisement bo inserted unless prepaid, except (ho ndvorliser has already nn account with us, or that the order is sufliciontly largo to justify us in booking the same. The annoyance and loss consequent on the collection of small amounts, especially from parties at a distance, have compelled us to adopt this sourse, which will in future bo strictly adhered to.
