Several p.\rlies residing at n distance from Hokitika, having forwarded advertisement!! to this office without enclosing payment for the same, we beg to inform the public that in no caso will an advertisement be inserted unless\prepaid, except the advertiser has already an account with us, or that the order is sufliciently large to justify us in booking the same. The annoyance and loss consequent on the collection or small amounts, especially from parties at a distance, have compelled us to adopt this sourse, which will in future be strictly adhered to.
