It is said thcro will bo ono civil easo for trial, but as yot it has not been ontorod. No appeals have boon received from tho Wardens Court.
His Houor Mr. Justice Groseon will sit in Chambers at ,the Supremo Court, to-morrow (Wednesday), at ll,o'clock. His Honor baa fixed Wednesday tho 31st Jan., at 11 o'clock, as the time for hearing petitions under tho Debtors and Creditors Act. An ealier date would have been fixed were it not necessary to give 14 days pjevious notice of such hearing in the Provincial Government Gazotte.
Yestorday afternoon, the Resident Magistrate, sat in the old court, and • disposed of two cases arising out of the New Year's night disturbances One wns brought by tho police against a man named Charles Novillo, in connection with whose arrest constablo Carr was accidently shot. Carr, was Bufliciontly'recovered to give ovidenco, and Neville was sent to gaol for a month without tho option of a fine, for his share in tho matter. Anothor man, Charles M'AHistor, for similar conduct on the sumo occasion, was also confined to the samo place for a liko period, both with hard labor.
