The Printers and Publishers of the present work, having previously brought out most successfully similar works in Dunedin and Invercargill, undertake tho presont task with a feeling that the publio will repose confidence in their ability to produce a creditable Directory for this Port and the West Coast Goldfields— and certainly not inferior to any published elsewhere. In addition to the usual features of ordinary Directories, the publishers intend to give a Lithographed plan of tho Town, with tho number of the various sections and the Reserves marked thereon. The compiler is now engaged in collecting information, whioh it is hoped will be readily afforded him by all concerned.
