GIRL FALLS FROM BUS
A seven-ye.ir-old girl fell from a N.Z. Road Services bus at Winiata on Friday evening, but she was not seriously hurt. The bus was travelling from Taihape to Ohingaiti, and when near Mr McCombie’s residence, about two miles south of Taihape, the girl fell through the emergency door at the back of the vehicle. After receiving medical attention, she was able to return to her home at Ohingaiti. She is a daughter of Mr and Mrs Redman. CAR OVER BANK. A car went over the bank on Spooner’s Hill on Friday night, but it appears that nobody was seriously hurt. Two Army greatcoats were found in the vehicle after the accident. PARKED TRUCK OVER BANK. A motor truck, parked on the roadside near “Mount Massey,” was hit by another truck on Saturday evening and forced over the bank. Two passengers in the parked vehicle jumped clear and escaped injury. The vehicle which went over the bank belonged to Mr J. Fleet. FOUND INTOXICATED. A man was found lying on the railway line at Waiouru on Friday in a state of intoxication and was removed to a place of safety. GUN CLUB SHOOT. The Taihape Gun Club held a successful Christmas shoot at Ohotu on Saturday. All events were keenly contested:’ Results were as follows: Five-bird eyeopener: D. Missen, J. B. Thomasen, L.
