Mr. W. E. Robbie Met By Farming Clients; Presentation Made
Mr. W. E. Robbie, who has recently retired from the position of manager of the Wanganui branch of Dalgety and Co. after 40 years service, was met by clients of the company and farming friends at an informal gathering held in Foster’s Hotel. Mr. D. Henderson, who presided, eulogised Mr. Robbie's services, both to the company and to the farming community. For the gathering he presented Mr. Robbie with a silver service Other speakers were Messrs W. D. Carson (Brunswick), I. F. E. Carter (Ohakune), Don McGregorf Fordell) and A. P. O'Neill (Raetihi). Mr. Robbie suitably replied.
