Candidates will be required to show evidence of advanced studies in the partcular field in which they wish to specialise. In music, applications will be considered from composers, executants, teachers, orchpstra players, and scholars capable of research in some branch of musicology; and in drama, from actors, producers, technicians, stage designers and tutors. The Ballet Selection Committee will be prepared to consider applications from persons intending to teach, as well as from solo artists. Candidates may be required to attend an audition in Wellington. The equivalent of nine bursaries of £360 per year for two years may be awarded, on the basis of five bursaries in music, three in drama and one in ballet. Intending applicants should write as soon as possible to the Acting Secretary for Internal Affairs, P.O Box 7, Government Buildings, Wellington, indicating the field in which they wish to apply.
