RESERVE BANK NOTE ISSUE AGAIN INCREASES
Indicating a record Christmas spending season the Reserve Bank note issue again increased, to £61,244.951, in the week ended December 13, from £58,908, 325 the previous week. In the corresponding week last year the note issue was £57.972,729. Sterling exchange held by the Reserve Bank fell from £49,899,994 to £48,992,587 in the week ended December 13.
