Let's Forget Business And Tell 2 Funny Stories . . . . This month thousands of Wanganui Folk have been sending thousands of Christmas Cards to friends and buying gifts galore. THAT'S CHRISTMAS ! Every Business has the Christmas Spirit and we heard a good story that even the often grim practice of Dentistry can dispense Christmas Cheer. It appears that a certain man was having some dental work done. When it was all over the dentist picked up a different syringe from the one he had been using and gave his patient's mouth a good squirt with it. "That tastes very good," observed the patient. "What is it?" "Oh," said the dentist, casually, "that's Scotch whisky. I just use it at Christmas time." Then there is the story of the family who traded with a mail-order firm for years and last Christmas had an unusually large order. Across the bottom of the order blank Mother wrote in her large, flowing hand-writing, "Merry Christmas to All of You." Ten days later the packages arrived, mostly clothing for the family Dad, Mum and the five children. It was fun for Dad and Mum opening the packages after their family was asleep. But what really warmed their hearts was the notation at the bottom of the returned order blank: "And a Merry Christmas to You, Sizes 40, 38, 14, 12, 10, 8 and 6." We've had a record month and we hope you'll have a record Christmas Dinner and a record amount of real ha""!"i""7 this Festive Season. Londonlown WHERE FOLK LIKE SHOPPING!
