B.B.C. Bird Watcher Not Satisfied With Successor

LONDON. Dec 19.- The 8.8.C.’s official bird watcher and recorder is “not satisfied’ ’with Ihe way his successor has been chosen. He is 69-year-old Dr Ludwig Koch and his successor is 29-year-old Mr. E. A. Sims, a schoolmaster who becomes the 8.8.C.’s “resident ornithologist.” “I do not know this man and I was not consulted,” said Dr. Koch. “1 was told sex era I months ago that the 8.8. C. would not renew my contract. They wanted a younger man. 1 want Io make il quite clear that I have not retired and will continue with my bird watching and recording for the 8.8.
