Wanganui Cricket Series Abandoned Through Rain
Abandoned because of the rain, Wanganui senior A cricket matches which were to have been completed on Saturday were drawn. The four teams engaged thus receive two points each. At the close of play on the first day Wanganui had made 125 runs for five wickets in reply to Technical Old Boys’ 177 runs for the first innings. In the other match United and Marist each compiled 86 runs in their first innings and Marist were three wickets down for 130 in their second knock. Due to their annual holidays, school teams have now temporarily dropped out of the Competition Championship points to date are: Wanganui 14, Technical Old l3, Technical 6, United 6, Marist 5, and Collegiate 4.
