EARLDALE AND BIASSED IN FEATURE GALLOP ON AWAPUNI TRACKS

PALMERSTON N„ Last Night (Special).—One of the feature gallops at Awapuni this morning waa over just short of a mile and a-quar-ter by Biassed and Earldale. Another fine trial was that of Bright Side and Ngakoti over a mile. Most of the fast work took place on the plough, where the going was fairly fast. There was a strong wind and this slowed the horses over the last three. Biassed (Broughton) and Earldale ,(Dulieu) worked the reverse way, going away from just short of the post. They were travelling fast after three, run in 40 3-5. Biassed was in front after six, run in 1.21, but Earldale drew level in the home stretch, and they finished strongly together, the first mile having taken them 1.45 4-5. Ngakoti and Bright Side ran a short mile in 1.48 2-5 with the pace easy for the first furlong. They were home from the seven in 1.33 3-5. They travelled very fast between the seven and the three.

Arcara (Sellars) and TerrlUc (Wood) ran seven in’ 1.35 4-5 and were home well in 41 4-5.

Gay Gordon and Mission worked over a mile, with the pace steady for 'the last seven in 1.36. Imperial was given good steady pace work. Follow Suit (Hodren) worked well over six in 1.21 2-5. Airwyn (Temperton) jumped two hurdles and then galloped seven furlongs. Hutton (Samson) was in front of High Spot (K. Dulieu) at the end ot five, run in 1.7 3-5. They were home against the wind in 41 3-5. Hazaan (Sellars) and Miss Wynyard (Hodren) were together a couple of lengths in front of Übbriaco (Clutterbuck) at the end of a good five in 1.6 4- . They ran the last three in 41 1-5.

Red Beau (J. Harris) and Lady Aurora (Tattersall) ran five easily in 1.9. Ngarobi (Melton), brought home the last four by Ecstatic (K. Dulieu), ran seven in 1.36 4-5. Jangada (Broughton) was home easily in 41 to compete five in 1.6 3-5. Hunting Fort (Sellars) and Billie Girl (Wood), with the pace easy for the first two furlongs, were home strongly to cover a mile in 1.56 3-5. They ran the last three in 42. Snowless and Rockanul worked well over a mile in 1.54 1-5. Hinekura (Garth) and Sentimental (Tattersall) were home In 41 3-5 for five in 1.7 3-5.

Garno (Samson) and Jubilation (Dulieu) took a fraction longer. ON THE GRASS

Earl Denby (Broughton) and Dwight (Dulieu) sprinted half a mile in 50 4-5 and were home fast in 37 2-5. Sir Rhodes (Midwood), Wembley (S. Waddell) and Hobo (A. G. Waddell) were together at the end of a good mile in 1.49 4-5. They ran the last five in 1.6 and the last three in 39 1-5.

Voltaic (Tattersall) and Night Charm (Samson) were showing out from Censor (Dulieu) at the end ot a mile, run in 1.46 4-5. They ran the last three in 39 1-5.

One of the best fives was that of Lord Cranlcigh (Tattersall), Emotional (Sellars) and Jynx (Dulieu). They ran the full distance in 1.3 2-5, the last three in 38.
