Gaol Penalty For Man And Woman For Conspiracy In U.S.

NEW YORK. Nov. 29.— Abraham Brothman, 37, was sentenced today to seven years’ imprisonment and fined 15,000 dollars on his conviction on a charge of conspiracy to obstruct justice during a Federal Grand Jury investigation of Soviet espionage. Miss Miriam Moskowitz, 34, Brothman’s business associate, was sentenced to two years and fined 10,000 dollars on a similar charge. The sentences were the maximum provided by law. One of the principal witnesses against Brothman and Moskowitz was Harry Gold, an at-.mic spy, who confessed that he worked with Dr. Klaus Fuchs.
