Grants To Rugby Unions Which Did Not Play Against British Team
WELLINGTON, Last. Night.—The council of the New Zealand Rugby Union today had under consideration the question of what allocations should be made to unions which did not have a match against the British Isles team this year. After considerable discussion, it was decided to make grants of £3OO to the King Country and Bay of Plenty unions, and £2OO to the other unions.
A special grant of £lOO was made to the Nelson union, which had to entertain the British team for a week before the first match of the tour was played.
