Trotting Carnival At Addington Resumes Today

The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s carnival meeting at Addington will be continued today, when one of the feature events will be the N.Z. Derby Stakes, for three-year-old pacers, of which 14 are engaged. The main race will be the Dominion Trotting Handicap, which carries a stake of £2500. The totalisator double will be on the Hayward and Hornby Handicaps. Horses likely to be fancied in their engagements include:— Yaldhurst Hanidcap: Highland Kilt, Gisameter, Belshazzar. Flying Mile Handicap: Fabric Silk, Bonny Scott, Nebula. Author Dillon Handicap: Fan Tan, Peggydale, Gay Note. Dominion Trotting Handicap: Single Task, Tatsydale, Ripcord. Hayward Handicap: Yankiwi, Hall Ace, Victory Song. New Zealand Derby Stakes: Adorlan, Flagship, Prince Charming. Hornby Handicap: Young Charles, GayPiper, Fortune.
