Rangitikei County May Engage Engineer To Prepare Bridge Design

'.sign for a new bridge across the • Rangitikei River at Onepuhi is to be made to the Kiwitea and Orous Coun- ■ |ty Council.s, which will share the cost with the Rangitikei County. ! This was decided at the monthly meeting of the Rangitikei County | Council today after the Ministry ot 'Works had advised that because of a J shortage of draughtsmen it was unjable to prepare a design lor the new j bridge. Murray Reid, said; [that, the work could not be done inthe council’s Marton office. Preparing; [a design for the new Onepuhi bridge I was comparable with that of the new ’bridge at Bulls and would take 12 months to complete.
