French Refuse To Liberate Petain
PARIS, Nov. 9 (Rec. 1 am).—The French National Assembly refused today, by 480 votes to 98, to free 94-year-old former Marshal Petain, now serving a life imprisonment sentence for war-time collaboration with the Germans.
