GISBORNE FARMERS An increase of £1434 to £13.339 in net profit is shown in the accounts of the Gisboine Sheepfarmers* Frozen Meat and Mercantile Co , Ltd., for the year ended August 31. unchanged dividends of 5 per cent, on ordinary mercantile shares are recommended, but tie payment on the ordinary freezing shares is reduced from 5 per cent, to 2 per cent lotai dividends require £5858 against £8023 in 1949. The sum of £5OOO is transferred to freezing reserve and £4967 is placed to mercantile reserve leaving a carry-forward of £12.160. against £14.647 brought in. Gross trading profit was £5284 higher at £77,238. Taxation amounted to £18,713 compared with £1b,417 in 1949. .
