Increases In Price Of Tyres: Were They Fair?

PARLIAMENT BLDGS., Last Night (PA). In the House of Representatives today, Mr McCombs (Opp., Lyttelton) gave notice to ask the Minister of Industries and Commerce if the Price Tribunal would inquire into recent increases in the prices, to see it they had been fairly allocated between types. He said the increase in car tyre •prices of 20 per cent, seemed out of proportion to the increase of 10 per cent, for tractor tyres and 15 per cent, for truck tyres.
