Ten Thousand Million Dollars Spent On Marshall Plan Aid
WASHINGTON, Oct. 30 (Recd. 6 pm). —Marshall plan spending passed the 10,000,000,000 dollar mark today. The milestone was reached when the Economic Cooperation Administration announced the first grant of 350,000,000 dollars to the European Payments Union. This system helps Western Europe’s trade by freely changing the currency of one country for that of another.
