Floods In The U.S.

NEW YORK, Oct. 29 (Recd. 11 pm) —Flooding rivers swept into cities and towns of Southern Oregon and Northern California today, driving over 2000 people from their hemes. One man is known to be dead, and the police are using boats to search for others reported to be missing. The flood waters have comnldtely isolated four towns. Roads and railway tracks over a vast area are under water. Many miles of telephone line are submerged. The floods are the aftermath of storms that blew in from the Pacific over the last live days.
