British Experts Support Yugoslavia’s Loan Appeal
British Foreign Office experts have decided to back Yugoslavia’s appeal for an immediate loan to tide over the effects of this year’s disastrous harvest. ■ The decision is understood to have resulted from advice given by the British Ambassador to Yugoslavia, Sir Charles Peake, who Hew back to England a week ago. The loan proposal, which in the first instance is unlikely to exceed £lO million, will have to be reviewed by Cabinet.
