Sixteen fours played at the Wau ganui Club's green, where, for the first time so far as that club is concerned, progressive fours were playea instead of the usual plan to keep the originally arranged fours togethei. The winning players in the respective classifications were: A. V. Martin (skip), M. Greener (three), A. E. Thompson (two) and G. Hamilton (lead) Hamilton secured 4i wins, Thompson and Greener both five. Martin and. J. Patterson tied with four wins as skips, necessitating a play-off, which Martin won. Those who took part voted the day a great success. St. Kilda cards were .used to facilitate movement for players from four to four, as the bell rang at the end of each time limit.
