K. HAYDEN ESTABISHES TRACK RECORD AT WANGANUI EAST SPEEDWAY

Kevin Hayden, the well-known Wellington rider, made short work of establishing a track record at the Wanganui East Speedway yesterday. Riding brilliantly in a special record attempt, he covered the four laps in 1 min. 18 1-5 sec.—4 2-5 sec. better than the best time recorded earlier in the day. Almost 4000 people turned out for the meeting conducted by the Wanganui Motor-Cycle Club. The new track was in excellent condition and should settle down well.
