FOREIGN VESSELS MAY NOW BE ABLE TO ENTER CANTON
HONGKONG, Oct. 14 (Rec. 9 pm). —Chinese authorities in Canton are reported to have announced that from today vessels flying foreign flags will be allowed to enter port provided they comply with the regulations of the Bureau of Harbour Affairs. Ves-, seis will be allowed to carry passengers and freight. Hitherto, only Chinese vessels have been allowed to sail between Hongkong and Canton.—Reuter.
