M. Paul’s Crew Wins Wanganui Rowing Club’s First Trophy Contest

Racing for the Wanganui Rowing Clubs first trophy of the season, the Tesla-Club Fours, was completed at the week-end, and the crews drawn lor the club’s next competitive rowing, the Wray Eights. Winner of the trophy was M. Paul’s crew, which went through the competition showing outstanding form. This crew, which comprises Paul, J. Nolan, B. Lockett and P. Cronin, will represent the club in the Wanganui Rowing Association's Vodanovlch Cup contest. Detailed results of week-end races for the Tesla-Club Fours were: Paul beat Nancarrow, Clapcott beat Wilson, Paul beat Ingram. Final: Paul beat Clapcott by two lengths. WRAY EIGHTS’ CREWS. Rollowing are the crews for the Wray Eights:—lngram (str.), Lowe, Hogan, Eroadbent, Smith, Carlyon, Agnew, Doyle; Paul (str.), Wenham, Reid, Cathro, Reynolds, Prentice, Hildrett, Wilkinson; Clapcott (str.), Nancarrow, J. Byres, Bailey, Roworth, T. Smith, M. O'Hara, Walford; Wilson (str.) Nolan, Lockett, Cronin, Gullery, Forward, Phillipson Murcell. A reserve eight was also drawn. It will take part in the ra ting if no other crews require replacements. It is: Byres (str.), Brydone, Head, A. Lunnon, McGregor , Toline, Pudsey Helbner.
