WAIPUKURAU, Last Night (PA)— The Waipukurau Jockey Club’s spring meeting was held on Saturday in bright sunshine. The track was heavy after recent rain. The totalisator handled £28,173 10s, compared with £2l 054 last year, an increase of £7119 10s. The doubles totalisator handled £2683. The doubles dividend on Coromandel and Parisian Lad was £l9 6s for £l. After the Maiden Race K. Dulieu, rider of Roundwood, who was brought before the stewards for causing interference to Pretty Lace, ridden by B. Stowe, was reprimanded. S. Phillips, rider of Sun Treasure, who was questioned after the Flying Handicap, was warned that in future he should be more vigorous at the finish of races.
