More U.S. Dollars For Canadians On Holiday

OTTAWA, Oct. s—The Government today liberalised restrictions on the supply of American dollars to Canadians visiting the United States. Canadian businessmen for the first time since 1947, will not be forced to skimp along on only 150 dollars for each trip to the United States, but will be allowed 500 dollars or more if they can prove they need it. Canadians crossing the border on pleasure previously were restricted to 150 United States dollars annually. Now they may have 500 dollars or more a year for travel. The Government, eased the restrictions because of Canada’s improving reserve of United States dollars.
